This is the cover of the first book and probably the nicest cover.

I have decided to add Artemis Fowl to my magical repertoire.
Artemis Fowl: This is not absolutely based on magic as the others were. This is set in the modern day world, with a criminal mastermind called Artemis Fowl. He is also from a long line of very rich and very unscrupulous ancestors and has inherited his keen business sense from them. However, he turns to a very unlikely source for replenishing and increasing the family wealth- fairies. These are not the wand-wielding, sweet, simpering fairies of fairy tales but dangerous gun-holding creatures who have their own world under the earth. Artemis finds out about them and kidnaps a young military officer called Holly Short. He asks for ransom at the cost of her death and their discovery by the human world. This is basically the first book. The others have the same characters and are also very good.

Pictures:

These are the covers of the first and second books.

By the way, this is called the Inheritance trilogy.

Eragon( pronounced Er-uh-gone): This is kind of based on Lord of the Rings but is pretty different anyway. It is about a boy called Eragon who lives in a country ruled by a magician called Galbatorix, who is evil and cruel. He finds a dragon egg which hatches and a dragon called Saphira(pronounced Sa-feer-ah) who shares his thoughts and tells him hers comes into the world. The two of them share a bond something like the closest brother and sisters who know what the other person is thinking. They have to run from the Empire and Galbatorix and reach an outlawed group called the Varden who are rebelling against him. The first book is about their flight. The second book is about what they do after reaching the Varden and is not half as good as the first. It is more like setting the picture for the hopefully much more exciting third book.

This is the cover of the Lord of the Rings movie.

Three rings for the Elven kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-Lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for the mortal men, doomed to die,
One for the dark lord on his dark throne.
One ring to rule them all, One ring to find them,
One ring to bring them all, and in the darkness, bind them.

Lord of the Rings: It's more of the dimensions of a classic and has like an entirely new mythology. It starts with 7 dwarf lords, 9 kings of men and 3 very special people making really powerful rings for themselves. Then this bad guy, Sauron, learns how to make them and makes his own ring which can rule them all. However, he is defeated but like Voldemort, not killed. But the ring is not destroyed and after like a long long time, Sauron comes back but lacks the one thing that will make his power absolute, the ring. In the meanwhile a hobbit(really small human like people) named Bilbo finds it and gives it to his nephew Frodo. Now Frodo has to destroy the ring and this can only be done in the same mountain where Sauron created it. So there is this long quest initially with 9 people but eventually with only 2 left, to destroy it and in the end, Frodo puts it into the fire mountain and Sauron is defeated forever.

These are the covers of the first two books. The first one is in German.

About the books

All the books are basically about magic but absolutely different kinds of magic.
Bartimaeus: Set in London where magicians are the most important and powerful people around and who govern it. This is about a young and ambitious apprentice to a magician called Nathaniel. But more so, it is about a djinni(pronounced genie) called Bartimaeus whom Nathaniel brings to the world. Quick-witted and ingenuous, it is his parts of the story that are the funniest. The first book is about Nathaniel's going to the ministry and about his apprenticeship. The second book is about his rise in the ministry.

Alright:-
Bartimaeus: Brilliant series, very funny, not the kind of books u would imagine me reading,
Lord of the Rings: You know about this, horribly fat but still very very good,
Eragon: You've heard about this one too. Very nice first book, but pretty plotless second.

Alright, alright

Responding to all ur comments, I have decided to add some stuff. But I am sick of everyone going on and on about HP so have decided to put up stuff about Lord of the Rings, Eragon series and the Bartimaeus series. I know u haven't read them and I don't care. I'm trying to educate u about stuff other than HP. These are all very good and u definitely ought to read them.
